Modern IdyGlyphs

Modern IdyGlyphs

One of many large Granite rocks lying about an undisclosed neighborhood; These signatures with dates hover around the late twenties and into the mid thirties when Idyllwild started experiencing it's first serious population boom owing to the car and a new highway into the mountain that turned more than 50 miles of horse and buggy switch-back roads into about 16 miles of smooth and wide.
This is the graffiti of early travelers who found Idyllwild. Over a few years time, it seems, other travelers found this same rock and wrote their names on it.  Though an eco-sin in any modern time, It still offers the chance to read these old names and get a sense of a previous community of Idyllwild.
